Buck Browser for Linux

A free browser for Debian-based Linux x64 with built-in protection, desktop extensions and encrypted bookmark pairing with Windows and Android.

Install the Debian package

Get the Linux x64 Debian package from the official downloads. Open it with your software installer, or run sudo apt install ./PACKAGE.deb from the download directory, replacing PACKAGE.deb with the downloaded filename.

The package adds the Buck Browser update repository with its own scoped signing key. This download is for Debian-based x64 systems; it is not an Android APK, Windows installer or Linux ARM package.

Update through your system

Future releases appear in your system updater. From a terminal, run sudo apt update, then sudo apt install buck-browser. Browser update controls also provide release information. Check the release notes for current changes.

Set up browsing your way

Fresh profiles open Buck Browser setup. Choose your search provider and configure startup preferences. DuckDuckGo is the default search engine, and you can change it in Settings. Desktop themes, extensions, local profiles and light or dark Settings let you personalize your installation.

Built-in ad and tracker blocking includes per-site controls. Desktop filtering also hides filtered elements and refreshes its lists automatically. If a website has trouble, pause protection for that site and reload it to check.

Connect your bookmarks

Use Settings → Sync to pair Linux with Windows or Android. Buck Sync encrypts bookmarks and folders before sending them to the relay. Read the pairing guide for setup and the privacy policy for service metadata and retention.
