Linux
For Debian-based Linux x64. Download the Debian package and open it with your software installer, or install it with sudo apt install ./PACKAGE.deb, replacing PACKAGE.deb with the downloaded filename. The Debian package adds the Buck Browser update repository with its own scoped signing key. Future updates appear in your system updater, or run sudo apt update followed by sudo apt install buck-browser.
Windows
For Windows x64. The Windows installer installs under Program Files and requires administrator permission. Close existing Buck Browser windows before installing. Setup preserves the browser profile and updates the shortcuts. Open Buck Browser from its shortcut after Setup finishes.
Buck Browser checks the release signature and download checksum before opening updates. If Windows asks you to confirm the publisher, confirm that you downloaded the installer from buckbrowser.com before continuing.
1Password on Windows
Windows 1.10 connects native password manager extensions without a special launch flag. In the 1Password desktop app, open Settings, Browser, Add Browser and select C:\Program Files\Buck Browser\Application\Buck Browser.exe. Enable desktop integration in both 1Password and its extension. The Windows executable remains unsigned; the administrator installation under Program Files supports 1Password’s additional-browser trust requirements.
Android
For Android 10 or later on ARM64 devices. Open the APK and follow Android’s installation confirmation. Allow installation from Buck Browser or the browser used for the initial download if Android requests it. Updates retain the application signing key and browser data.
Keep the browser current
Open Updates from the browser menu or About. Automatic checks default on; installation begins when you choose. Optional installation reporting is off by default. Review release notes and privacy details.
