Your browser. Your way.

Buck Browser brings built-in ad and tracker blocking, encrypted bookmark sync and the everyday tools you need together in one free browser.

Built-in protection, with you in control

Buck Protection blocks advertising and tracking requests as you browse. Open the protection panel to see how many requests it has blocked on the current site, switch protection on or off for that site, or manage the browser-wide setting.

Allow a site when you choose, then return to browsing with your preferences saved. On desktop, Buck Protection also hides filtered page elements and refreshes its filter lists automatically. You can refresh those lists yourself from the protection controls.

Your bookmarks, on your computer and phone

Buck Sync keeps bookmarks and folders connected across Linux, Windows and Android using end-to-end encryption. Add, rename, move or remove a bookmark on one paired device and keep the others in step.

Pair devices with a six-word phrase—there is no browser account to create. The Sync page shows your paired devices, bookmark and folder counts, encryption status and pending uploads. Use Sync now when you want an immediate refresh, and manage or leave your sync group from Settings.

Make your desktop browser feel like yours

Choose light or dark Settings, personalize your local profile and use desktop themes and extensions to suit the way you work. Set your Home page, then choose whether new tabs should open that same page.

DuckDuckGo is the default search engine. Prefer another search provider? Change it in Settings. Your browser’s appearance, startup behavior and search choices stay under your control.

The everyday tools, right where you need them

Move between tabs, organize bookmarks into folders, revisit browsing history and manage downloads from familiar browser controls. Use local profiles on desktop to keep your browsing organized, with local password storage and autofill settings.

Buck Browser supports everyday web video and audio, including H.264 video and AAC audio on desktop. On Android, browsing, bookmarks, downloads, Buck Protection and encrypted bookmark pairing are available in a browser built for your phone.

Private browsing and clear choices

Open a private window when you want a separate browsing session. Private browsing stays outside your bookmark sync group. Regular profiles keep their own local history, settings and saved data.

Optional installation reporting is off by default, with its own control in Updates. It does not include browsing history, bookmarks, passwords or search queries. Read how Buck Browser handles your data.

Updates without the guesswork

Buck Browser checks for new releases and lets you know when an update is available. Open Updates from the menu or About to see the release details, download the package and choose when to install.

The browser verifies the release signature and download checksum before opening an update. Linux users also receive Buck Browser updates through the system package manager. Your existing browser profile stays in place through updates.

Free to use. Always.

Buck Browser is available for Linux, Windows and Android with no purchase required. Optional contributions support continued development of Buck Browser and BuckDNS through our shared Buy Me a Coffee page.
