Browse, block ads and trackers, and keep your bookmarks together. Buck Browser is free to use, always.
Ad and tracker protection
Open the browser menu and select Buck Protection. Use Protection for this site to pause or restore filtering for the current website. Block ads and trackers controls protection across websites.
If a page does not work as expected, try pausing protection for that site and reload it. Restore protection after checking. Blocking does not remove every advertisement or tracking method.
Bookmarks and encrypted sync
Use Bookmarks in the browser menu to find and organize saved pages. To sync bookmarks and folders, open Settings → Sync. Start a group on your first device, choose Pair another device, and enter its six-word phrase through Pair this device on the second device.
Pairing works across Android, Windows and Linux. Keep the phrase private. Check sync status and pending changes before troubleshooting. Leaving a group keeps local bookmarks but stops synchronization for that device.
Tabs, search and downloads
Use the tab switcher to move between pages and the browser menu to open a new tab or private tab. Choose your search provider in Settings → Search engine. History and Downloads are available from the browser menu.
Private tabs keep their browsing history out of your regular local history. Websites and the network you use can still see activity. Download only files you intend to use.
Website permissions and privacy
Manage website access to the camera, microphone, location and other capabilities in Settings → Site settings. Android also provides app-level permissions in its system settings. A site needs the relevant permission before using these features.
Clear browsing data through browser settings when needed. Review the Buck Browser privacy policy for local data, optional sync, retention and service details.
Version and updates
Find the installed version in Settings → About Buck Browser. The Play Store edition opens Play Store from Updates. Direct-download installations use the Buck Browser update controls. Keep browser data when installing an update.
